Ask Dr. I4U!: Perpindahan Ilmu Asas Kejuruteraan Kecerdasan Buatan (CE/2022/00124)
The “Ask Dr. I4U!: Perpindahan Ilmu Asas Kejuruteraan Kecerdasan Buatan” project aims to introduce the importance of engineering to primary school students and promote practical knowledge of the latest technologies related to the 4.0 industrial revolution, which should be integrated into STEM education. The physical delivery of an interactive lecture-workshop makes it clear and easy for students to understand and interact with the instructors and facilitators who assist the speaker. One hundred students are expected to benefit, subsequently choosing STEM, particularly civil engineering, as their preferred stream in secondary schools and higher education institutions. The impact of this project is its contribution towards achieving the national 60:40 Science to Non-Science stream target, as outlined in the National Science and Technology Enrolment Policy.




KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER PROGRAM SUB-PROJECT: INTERNET OF THINGS (IOT) LITERACY – CONTROLLING HOME APPLIANCES USING A SMARTPHONE
The UTM TEKNOVASI 2024 ‘UNIVERSITI MERENTAS KOMUNITI’ Knowledge Transfer Programme (KTP) is a high-impact program comprising four (4) sub-projects conducted for the rural community around Yan, Kedah Darul Aman. This program aims to carry out a social and economic mission to empower the low-income B40 community and target groups around Yan, Kedah Darul Aman, by implementing four (4) sub-projects involving the transfer of expertise/knowledge to these groups.
It was conducted physically to enhance the well-being, sustainability, resilience, and self-reliance of the B40 community in selected localities within the district through skills and knowledge in several selected fields and areas of expertise. The overall expected impact is to maximize resources and materials to be turned into beneficial products, thereby contributing to the convenience of the community around Yan, and to serve as a Train of Trainers (ToT) method, where participants are able to teach and widely disseminate the benefits received to the wider community.
