BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Mohamad Nur Hidayat Mat

The author pursued his degree at the University Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) and graduated with the first-class Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering in 2014. Upon graduation, he worked as a project engineer for Terengganu Gas Terminal (TGAST) project. After two years of working, he was in charged as a lead engineer for Package 14A project located at Pengerang, Johor Malaysia. Then, he enrolled for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)’s degree at the Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) in 2017. During this time, he actively involved in many research competitions and was awarded with two (2) Gold Medal for his research project in the International Festival of Innovation of Green Technology Competition held at Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) and he was selected by the UTHM to present his research project for national level competition in the 3 Minute Thesis Competition held at Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI). After successfully obtained his PhD scroll, he worked as a technical specialist at Hexagon, a CAE company. With sufficient site and design experience, he registered as a professional engineer and professional technologies under Board of Engineer Malaysia and Malaysia Board of Technology, respectively. Currently, he worked as a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) Skudai, Johor, Malaysia and responsible to teach Fluid Mechanics subject, Programming for Engineers and guiding postgraduate students. Besides that, his current research project recently has been awarded RM 98,020 (23,500 USD) under the Fundamental Research Grant Scheme (FRGS) by the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education for 3 years project.
