The Maltese gambling company Esports Entertainment Group has completed the acquisition of the Bethard bookmaker, which, as NewsOfGambling wrote, was co-owned by Swedish footballer Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
This purchase by Esports Entertainment Group is valued at US $ 27 million.
The Bethard bookmaker will perfectly complement the company’s assets and significantly increase its revenues and presence in regulated markets, representatives of the Esports Entertainment Group noted.
They clarified that as a result of the deal, Esports Entertainment Group got two new gambling licenses, which the betting operator Bethard received in Spain and Sweden, and together with them the company will have six licenses for gambling activities in different countries of the world.
This deal, according to the source, became known in the spring of 2021.
