I am currently an Associate Professor in Photonics at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Johor Bahru. I received a Bachelor Degree in Telecommunication Engineering from Universiti Malaya (1999), a Master Degree in Electrical Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (2001), and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (2007). My Ph.D. research focused on the development of polymer-based optical waveguides and devices. Over the years, my research interests have expanded to include polymer-based waveguides, spectroscopic techniques for gas sensing, and the design and development of solar cells, particularly in perovskite and dye-sensitized technologies. I am passionate about advancing sustainable energy solutions through cutting-edge research and collaborations.
