The dragon boat racing for UTM Staff Games 2017 was held at UTM Lake, last Friday 14th April 2017. The most unforgettable moment during the race was during semi final match between FKE Men’s Team and Bendahari. FKE was giving a hard time for Bendahari before their boat capsized around a few meters before the finishing line. Alhamdulillah, all are safe since they were wearing safety jacket. Meanwhile, FKE Women’s Team lost for a tiny seconds to Bendahari team during preliminary match. FKE gave their best performance during the match and the boat moved in a straight line compared to some other teams where their boat circled around the lake before hitting the finishing line. Overall since this is the first time that such event is organized, there is still room for improvement and many FKE staff are still in high spirit that they have vowed to participate again next year with enhanced skills and better strategy.
