Thursday, 8th August – ENG1 team won GOLD medal in Women Badminton UTM STAFF GAMES 2019! ENG1 team comprises of staff from School of Electrical Engineering, School of Biomedical Engineering and Health Sciences and School of Computing.
I am so proud that I can help ENG1 team advanced to the final, defeated Faculty of Science Social and Humanities 3-2 in the final match yesterday, and claimed champion in women badminton this year. What is more, I played double badminton and I also won all matches from the grouping match, to the final match. Thanks also to my partner, Awin and Dr Asnida, as well as our team’s coach, En. Anuar from SKE who had tirelessly gave advice and tips for us to beat the opponent.
Alhamdulillah.
Sports are things that I really enjoy and the feeling when I can help my team to win the game is indescribable.
I am hoping that next year, more SKE’s staff can join and participate in UTM Staff Games as currently, the number is quite limited. Not many people can sacrifice their leisure time for sports and some have other commitments that they could not avoid.
Nonetheless, sports made me happy!
