4 September 2019 – A delegation from the School of Electrical Engineering, UTM JB has visited the Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Malaya, Kuala Lumpur. The main objective of the visit is to have a series of discussion on the academic benchmarking for undergraduate and postgraduate programs. We departed from UTM at around 5.00 am in the morning and arrived UM at 9.30 am, just as scheduled.
Besides discussion on the program, we exchanged experience and information on teaching and learning, research opportunities, industrial training as well as comparing criteria for promotions for both universities. We also visited several laboratories and smart classroom called The Orange Cube. This is my first visit to this faculty and I must say that I am impressed with the facilities provided, the professionalism, the humbleness of UM staff and I can feel the vibe of a world-class university.
