From 7 December until 10 December 2019, the fifth plenary meeting for SHYFTE, which stands for ‘Building Skills 4.0 Through University and Enterprise Collaboration (SHYFTE)’, took place at Università degli Studi del Sannio, Benevento, Itali. Benevento is a city and comune of Campania, Italy, which is located around 50km from Naples. The nearest airport to Benevento is Naples International Airport, located around 20 minutes from Naples city centre.

This time, Dr Norjulia Nordin and I represented our team to the meeting. Our journey to Benevento took more than 24 hours. We flew to Italy from Johor Bahru by Qatar Airways, and transit at 3 airports, KLIA, Hamad International Airport, Doha, Qatar, and Milan Malpensa Airport, Milan, Italy. Once we arrived Naples International Airport, we took a shuttle bus called Alibus, to Naples Central Station to catch train to Benevento. The journey to Benevento by train was also a challenging one. We had to change train at Caserta, and carried our big and heavy luggage up and down the platform. Finally we arrive Benevento Stazione around 5.05pm and it was dark already as it is currently winter in Europe.

During the 4 days meeting, I had a chance to present our pilot learning framework for Artificial Intelligence Domain. We received some positive comments from AI expert from Università degli Studi del Sannio, as well as from other members of SHYFTE, and we will take into accounts all the comments to improve our learning framework. The next thing for sure, we have to work on the details content of each module in the learning framework before the next meeting in Lyon.

Benevento for me is a nice, quiet town, suitable for people who hates traffic jam, or life in a bustling and busy city and leads a more simpler and calm life. Naples, on the other hand is an opposite to Benevento, crowded place and quite hectic.

Here are some of the pictures during our meeting in Benevento. Enjoy!
