This year, I was assigned to visit SKE’s students doing industrial training at companies located in Bangi. So I made a plan to visit them on 19-20 August 2019. This year, besides visiting the students and checking their progress, we also act as ambassador to UTM where we have to give briefing to the industries on potential collaboration with UTM as well as promote UTM programs and activities to them.
In total, I visited 4 companies: Telekom Malaysia Kajang, Sony ECMS Malaysia Sdn Bhd, Tenaga Cable Sdn Bhd and Carrier International Sdn Bhd. I particularly enjoyed visiting students at industries as I get to know their companies more and their nature of business, as well as widen my networking. I also managed to give a short presentation to some of the top management staff at Tenaga Cable Sdn Bhd, using promotional slides prepared by the Faculty.
The best thing is, I also got to lunch with my besties in between the visit. Overall, I hope to be given this opportunities again as the experience is priceless.
