I am a professor of Electronics and Computer Engineering, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. I am also a member of the VLSI – embedded Computing Architecture Design (VeCAD) research group. Our group focuses on domain-specific computing architecture, VLSI/SoC design, and embedded systems. My personal research focus is in digital system design, computer architecture, embedded systems, domain-specific reconfigurable computing, multicore/manycore system-on-chip, network-on-chip, network algorithmics, network processing architectures, and software-defined networks. I obtained my PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Victoria BC Canada in 2007, MEng in Electrical Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in 2001, and BEng in Computer Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in 1999. I am currently the Deputy Dean (Academic and Student Affairs) of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering.
