PhD Proposal Defense Session 2020/2021-3 (Chairperson)
Many congratulations to Evania Yafie and her supervisors Dr. Zakiah and Dr. Norazrena for successfully negotiated her proposed research entitled “Parenting Knowledge, Skills, and Parental Locus of Control: Mobile Assisted Training for Parent (Mat-P) Based Seamless Learning to Assess Children Development”. Thank you to the examiners AP Dr. Azlina and AP Dr. Zainuddin, as well as to Dr. Diyana Zulaika who assisted me during the session.
PhD Viva-Voce Session 2020/2021-2 (Examiner)
I found it strange at first, given the fact that I have not, so far, graduated any PhD student, yet, had been actually appointed (and on short notice) as the “replacement internal examiner” or “penilai gantian” for AP Dr. Zainudin’s PhD student.
I received an official notification via email from the office on 13 July 2021 and the viva was scheduled this morning (2 August 2021), so I was given less than 2 weeks to evaluate the thesis. Plus, in between the “aftermath” of my first vaccine shot I had to accept this “bidan terjun” job.
I hope I had fulfilled my responsibility and I would like to congratulate Bapak Muhammadi for successfully negotiated his PhD thesis.
During the session we were joined by Prof. Rosnah Ismail (CUCMS) as the external examiner, while Prof. Hamdan chaired the session, assisted by Dr. Rustam. It was a fruitful session, all in all.

I would like to congratulate my PhD student, Fatini Md Said for successfully negotiated her proposal defense entitled “The Study of Brain Functional Connectivity during Reflective Thinking among Teachers using Electroencephalogram (EEG)” this morning.

This morning, AP Dr. Azlina and Dr. Rustam’s PhD student successfully negotiated her proposal defence. All best wishes to Mdm. Aslinda Abas with her proposed project entitled “Kerangka Pelaksanaan Penerapan Perkembangan Spiritual Prasekolah Islam”.
The session was chaired by AP Dr. Halijah and was assisted by Dr. Chuzairy, with AP Dr. Zainudin as the second examiner.

This afternoon, we had the opportunity to listen to Br. Steven Anthony Khan’s presentation of his PhD proposal. The session was also joined by Prof. Yeo (examiner) and AP Dr. Azlina (supervisor), chaired by AP Dr. Zainudin and assisted by Dr. Doria. To assist Br. Steven in refining the focus of his research, the panel made a consensual decision in allowing him to attempt his second defense.

The session was also joined by AP Dr. Ahmad Johari and AP Dr. Faizah (LA) as the examiners, as well as AP Dr. Sanitah the supervisor. I was assisted by Dr. Ibnatul Jalilah during the session.
