Biography

Norhakim Yusof was born in Muar Johor, Malaysia. He obtained a Diploma degree in Urban Planning and a BSc degree in Geoinformation at the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) in 2003 and 2007, respectively. In 2007, he was awarded a fellowship from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) to pursue his MSc studies in Environmental Analysis and Modelling with specialization in geological remote sensing. After completing his MSc in 2009, he was employed as a Tutor in the Department of Geoinformation, Faculty of Geoinformation and Real Estate, UTM. In 2010, he was awarded the Academic Training Scheme Scholarship from UTM and went to Faculty of Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC) at the University of Twente to complete his PhD studies. His PhD research focused on developing methods for spatio-temporal data mining, modelling and geovisualization approaches for exploring wind dynamic behaviour and wind power potential.
