My name is Norhayati Binti Mohamed Noor. As a researcher and formulator at IBD, UTM since 2004, I have been actively conducting research on the lipid nanoparticles for topical/transfollicular delivery and has developed cosmeceutical products for companies focussing on aromatherapy, perfume, cosmetic and personal care products. My team and I have patented some herbal based nanoparticles for cosmetic applications. My research involves in the nanoparticle formulation, production, in vitro cytotoxicity and evaluation of their potential for the skin and hair. I’m also one of the tutors in my institute, conducting short courses for the cosmetic/perfume/herbal-based entrepreneurs. In 2009, my team and I have formulated the Royal Perfumes SI I and SI II for the Highness of Sultan Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Ismail Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar and the perfumes have been launched by the Highness of Sultan Johor in 2011. I have also published a few chapters and original papers in this cosmeceutical area.
