Dr. Nur Azaliah Abu Bakar

Dr. Nur Azaliah Abu Bakar is a leading academic in Artificial Intelligence and Enterprise Architecture with over 25 years of experience spanning academia, government, and industry. Her journey began with a degree in Information Systems Engineering from Multimedia University, followed by a Master’s in IT from UiTM and a PhD in Enterprise Architecture from UTM.

She has served key roles in Malaysia’s digital transformation, including as Chief Enterprise Architect for the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Finance, and Ministry of Rural and Regional Development, and as EA SME for the Ministry of Education. Her contributions include multimillion-ringgit national frameworks and roadmaps in digital government, business intelligence, and ICT strategic planning.

A prolific researcher, Dr. Azaliah has authored over 170 publications, with a SCOPUS H-index of 12. She developed the “Enterprise Architecture Implementation Assessment Model” for Malaysia’s public sector and has mentored 24 PhD and 28 Master’s students to success.

At UTM International, she leads global partnerships and collaborations, strengthening UTM’s presence in the international academic landscape. She is a member of IEEE, ACM, MBOT, and IASA, and an active researcher with the OBI Research Group.

Developed and deployed end-to-end data analytics and business intelligence systems to support Mydin’s retail operations, logistics, and financial reporting. Developed enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions tailored for SMEs, focusing on modules for finance, procurement, and inventory management.
