About me

I am Othman Mohd Yusop, a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. I serve within the Department of Intelligence Informatics and am part of the Software for Trusted IoT Environment (SoftTrust) research group. My academic background is in Software Engineering, with research interests spanning software traceability, requirements analysis and modelling, software maintenance, requirements elicitation, and effort-estimation analysis.

I teach both object-oriented and structured methodologies, including the Unified Modeling Language (UML) and Structured Analysis for Real-Time (SA-RT). My doctoral work centred on software engineering, with a particular focus on software traceability. With the increasing prominence of big data in informatics, I also explore data-mining techniques in software engineering contexts.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (Software Engineering), a Master of Science in Real-Time Software Engineering, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. I am an active member of the following professional bodies:
