Workshop on Initiating Research Interest and Recognizing Research Trend in Makassar, Indonesia

Being part of an excellent team for ‘Workshop and International Collaboration with Makassar, South Sulawesi, Indonesia’ taught me that nothing is founded in vain and each person is unique in his or her own privileges. During the preparation stages, I witnessed how Prof Mazlan is very determined to make sure everything is in order despite his full packed daily scheduled. While on the trip, during the workshop, I learn a lot from Dr Nurul and her ways of balancing work and life. I only get to know Dr Zuhaili better at the end of the workshop and during our trip back to Kuala Lumpur ( with all the thrilling events during our flight back). All these senior staffs demonstrated passion in their teaching and sharing of knowledge which really inspired me and help me rethink my own personal goal.

What I realise from the networking and making friends with the representative from UNISMUH, BOSOWA and UNHAS is simple acts matter most, and that courtesy is contagious. The successful workshop not only as a research platform but an opportunity to bridge all our uniqueness as well as similarity as ‘satu rumpun”. Every friend that we have now was once a stranger, but not anymore, and I am thankful to be part of this FABUlous team. Thank you!
