Mohd Rashidi Salim is currently a Senior Lecturer and Head of Lightwave Communication Research Group (LCRG), Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). He obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical-Mechatronics) in 2008. He started his Master’s study in July 2009 and was awarded a Master of Engineering (Electrical-Electronics and Telecommunication) from UTM in June 2011. He then pursued his PhD study in Electrical Engineering from Sept 2011 to Sept 2015. He was later awarded his PhD degree from UTM in April 2016. His research interests include spectroscopy-based sensors, optical fiber sensors and optical communication systems.
