The latest GTCI 2020 is out. It is an annual survey conducted by INSEAD and partners to assess and rank countries based on their macro level talent development. 132 countries are covered this year with a special focus on the age of Artificial Intelligence.
How does Malaysia fare up? Here are key highlights: ·
-
- We have improved our ranking to #26 from #28 last year. ·
- We are the first top-ranked country in the upper-middle income group. ·
- The report labels countries into 4 groups: 1. Talent Champions, 2. Talent Movers, 3. Talent Limpers, 4. Talent Laggards. We are Talent Champions – one of the only two upper-middle income countries alongside developed nations. ·
- All countries scored lowest in development of Global Knowledge Skills that deal with knowledge workers in professional, managerial, or leadership roles that require creativity and problem solving.
Congratulations Malaysia. We still have more work to do – see details in the report page 201.
