Holding an academic position as an Associate Professor at Dept. of Biomedical Engineering & Health Sciences, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia Johor Bahru (UTM JB), Malaysia and holding a research position as the Director at IJN-UTM Cardiovascular Engineering Centre, Institute of Human Centered Engineering, UTM JB. Conducting her research under Health & Wellness Research Alliance.
Member of several professional bodies including Graduate Engineer in Malaysia Board of Engineer (BEM), The Institute of Materials, Minerals & Mining (IOM3), American Chemical Society Malaysia section (ACS), IEEE Malaysia section, IEEE-EMBS Medicine & Biology Society, and Institute of Materials Malaysia (IMM). Also a certified Human Resources and Development Fund (HRDF) trainer with a certification in Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and Higher Education Teaching.
Actively participate in the publications of journal, book, and conference proceeding. Has experience in handling several high-cost machines/instruments such as X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), atomic force microscopy (AFM), and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). Becomes the Managing Editor of HumEnTech journal, the Section Editor for Jurnal Teknologi, and the reviewers for several high-impact international journals such as Materials Science & Engineering C, Journal of Healthcare Engineering, etc. Able to speak in three languages, Malay, English and French (basic). Strong passion in chess tournament/game at state, university, and faculty levels with the achievement of several medals.
