TOASTMASTERS INTERNATIONAL SPEECH CONTEST 2016 (JOHOR AND MELAKA DIVISION)

Toastmasters International is a 91 years old non-profit organisation which create platform for peoples all around the world in communication and leadership skills. Each year thousands of Toastmasters compete in the Humorous, Evaluation, Tall Tales, Table Topics and International speech contests. Competition begins with club contests and winners continue competing through the area, division and district levels. The International competition has two additional levels — semi-final and the World Championship of Public Speaking. Each year, more than 30,000 Toastmasters compete in one or more of these contests. Congratulations to Hishan Shanker Sanil, PhD Candidate (under the supervision of Dr. Suresh Ramakrishnan) from Faculty of Management, UTM for winning the first runner up in the Division A – Toastmasters Table Topics Speech contest – 2016. Division – A International Speech contest and Table Topics speech contest had participants from Toastmasters clubs all across Johor and Melaka. Division – A competition was held at The Putri Pacific hotel, Johor Bahru on 2nd April 2016. He was crowned as the Champion in the Area level Toastmasters Table Topic Speech contest – 2016 and First runner-up in the Area level Toastmasters International Speech contest – 2016.
