Succession Planning is crucial for sustainability of organization excellence. Therefore, this project aims at identifying and developing a suitable method, instruments, and tools for the succession plan of academic staff and academic leader/administrator.

  • Encouraging Innovation amongst Software Engineering students

The introduction of a large number of Software Engineering approaches, techniques, and tools was proven to improve some aspects of the original software chronic crisis such as late delivery and failure to meet user requirements. However, with a large number of available solutions, SE alone is not enough to make a software product to be accepted in the current competetive business environment. I’ve been introducing the aspect of creativity in SE courses. For 2014, I will specifically focus on encouraging innovation amongst SE students.

  • Adaptive Software Architecture

This year, I’ll continue my research on adaptive software architecture, especially to complete my RUP research grant. This year, I have three PhD students who are currently working on this topic, and I’m expecting to graduate two of them.
