I have taught at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia since 2003. My teaching responsibilities are focused on the undergraduate program. I teach core and elective subjects that are related to construction management and information technology in civil engineering at the undergraduate level.
Some of the subjects that I have taught are Information Technology (SAA 4144), Introduction to Information Technology and Information Search (SAM 1412), Computer Programming (SAM 2413), Civil Engineering Drawing (SAM 1423), Civil Engineering System and Problem Solving (SAM5022), Civil Engineering Information System (SAM 5413), Advanced Programming (SAM 5433) and Construction Technology and Estimating (SAB 3122). Besides lecturing the fulltime students, I was also assigned to teach these several subjects at the School of Professional And Continuing Education (SPACE).
My other teaching responsibilities include the supervision of undergraduate final year projects. I have supervised more than 30 students for final year project related with information technology in civil engineering. I have also been assigned as the examiner for undergraduate students in their final year project presentations. Besides that, I have also appointed as the coordinator for subject Advanced Programming (SAM5433) and Building Information Modelling (SKAB3412) at the faculty level.
Apart from teaching and supervising, I am also an academic advisor to more than 50 undergraduate students. I always try to assist them as much as I can in their duration of study in UTM. Every year, I was also assigned to supervise more than 15 undergraduate students during their industrial training.
My teaching responsibilities also include the evaluation of student performances through quizzes, tests, engineering related projects, presentations and examinations. In my class, the assignments and projects are given directly related to information technology in civil engineering field.
