How to cite a academic paper (step-by-step):
- First Author’s last name followed by author initials
- Second Author’s last name followed by author initials
- Third Author’s last name followed by author initials
- Publication year enclosed within parenthesis
- Article’s title in sentence-case
- The title of the journal or periodical in title case and italicized
- Journal periodical’s volume number (italicized)
- Journal or periodical’s issue number
- Page numbers covered by the article in the journal or periodical
- Include DOI if the article you are citing has been assigned one
