Fariza Hanim Suhailin received the B. Sc. and M. Sc. degrees from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Johor Bahru, Malaysia in 2007 and 2010, respectively. She then joined Semiconductor Fiber Devices for Nonlinear Photonics group at the Optoelectronics Research Centre, University of Southampton, U.K. and received Ph.D. degree in 2017. Her Ph.D research focused on the development of microstructured silicon-fibre devices for nonlinear optic applications. After completion of her Ph.D. degree, she pursued her postdoctoral research at the Centre of Excellence for Wireless and Photonics Network (WiPNET), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) in 2018, where she ventured to new research fields related to surface plasmon resonance (SPR) and surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) sensors/biosensors. She is currently a senior lecturer at Physics Department, Faculty of Science, UTM. She has published her works in various journals such as Scientific Reports, Optics Letters, Optics Express, IEEE Photonics Technology Letters, IEEE Photonics Journal, Plasmonics and etc.
