For everybody’s information, UTM welcomes students from abroad to undergo INBOUND MOBILITY programs at UTM. These include Student Exchange/ Study Abroad, Research Internship/ Attachment, Summer School, and Academic Visit (Visits, Seminars, Conferences, Practical Training etc).

All activities have to go through UTM International. Thus it is COMPULSORY for them to fill in our online form according to the programs as below :-

(i) For inbound exchange/study abroad program :- http://www.utm.my/international/utm-student-exchange-program/
*duration is 1-2 semesters
** students from our partner universities are exempted from paying the tuition fees

(ii) For inbound research internship/attachment, http://www.utm.my/international/research-internship/
* students from our partner universities are exempted from paying the tuition fees

(iii) For Summer School, http://www.utm.my/mytree/
–
(iv) For Academic Visit, http://www.utm.my/international/student-academic-visit/.

(v) For Other Activities (International Conferences/ Seminars etc in UTM), http://www.utm.my/international/international-activities-form/
* this can be done by faculty after the program

All inbound mobility students are also COMPULSORY to purchase their own insurance policy.

For a program less than 90 days, students from abroad are allowed to enter Malaysia using social pass.
–
For a program 90 days or more, students from abroad are compulsory to apply for their mobility student pass/visa and purchase their insurance through Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS) at https://educationmalaysia.gov.my.
