To date, I have secured 4 projects as the Principle Investigator. The first project was awarded by UTM under the Potential Academic Staff (PAS). The second research grant was awarded by the Centre for Community Industry Network (CCIN) UTM, where the project involved medical doctors, students of AHIBS, and some TB patients to develop solutions to improve TB patients’ experiences in their treatment. The third project that I am anchoring is a grant from the Fundamental Research Grant Scheme, MOHE. And the fourth research grant secured by me is through an industry grant, where I will help to improve a financial entrepreneurs’ digital presence.
I am a member of five international grants from the Erasmus+ projects worth more than RM4 million. Apart from that, I am also a member of a UTM Transdisciplinary Research Grant, an Industry International Incentive Grant, and two contract research projects.
In my 5 years of academic experience at UTM, I have authored and co-authored more than 30 research publications in the form of journal papers, conference proceedings, books, book chapters, and popular writing. From this number, three are WOS journal articles. The most notable one is on ‘Big Data Analytics Adoption: Determinants and Performances Among Small to Medium-Sized Enterprises’, which was published in the Journal of Information Management (IJIM) with an Impact Factor of 14. 098. I have 10 publications in SCOPUS and 5 non-index journal articles, 6 technical reports, 6 conference proceedings, articles in mass media and 2 books. To date, my SCOPUS H-Index is 5, while my Google H-Index is 8. I was awarded the Indexed Journal Author Award by UTM in 2020.
I have 21 research students under my supervision. 13 are PhDs (main), 2 PhD (co-supervisor) and 6 DBAs. Out of this number, 4 have graduated (3 as main supervisor, 1 co-supervisor). The topics of research range from information systems to digital marketing.
