I want to share an experience that humbled me and left my heart filled with love and gratitude for Allah, The All-Compassionate, the All-Mighty.
Recently I attended a family wedding affair. It was my cousin’s daughter getting hitched. We drove there together, my siblings and I. We arrived, found parking space and I escorted my brother up the stairs, into the hall. After about an hour or so, we decided to head home as my grandson was getting cranky.
When we got to the car, I could not find my car keys. There I was disemboweling my purse, all its content strewn over the car’s hood. Couldn’t find the key anywhere. Then my niece noticed a slight rumble of my car’s engine and asked, dismayed, “Is the engine running?”. It was indeed.
I left the car with the engine running, for one hour. And only by the Grace of Allah has no one ran off with my car. After all that would have been very easy indeed. I was stunned, amazed, speechless. Then my heart blossomed with joy Allah has bestowed upon me, so great I had tears in my eyes. Alhamdulillah. Thank you Allah for that miracle in that moment of my life.
