Most ideas which are creative and innovative usually comes from need. There is a real problem, that needs solving or there is a need to find a better way of doing things. From need stems thinking, which triggers exploration, which will open doors of possibilities.
You do not need to be a genius to be creative and innovative. You do not need a degree for it too (although some level of knowledge would make exploration much easier).
While out for sushi with a few friends of mine, I saw this creative and innovative solution to a simple problem, which helped increase performance.

Now many would say, “It has been there a while”. I only recently found out because I am not a sushi fan, so I don’t frequent the establishment.
That aside, I was amazed at its simplicity to handle a real life problem. You don’t need a robot or an out-of-this-world type of thinking all the time. Sometimes simplicity is just as awesome if not better.
