On November 2016, MyCert published an alert on LHDN Phishing Incident. While this alert was for a few months back, I felt it pertinent to re-post it as soon LHDN season is a coming and it will be best for us all (and our loved ones) to be cautious of this.
According to the alert : “The phishing email’s content is to lure victim to click on the phishing link or download an attachment. Victim is informed to claim the outstanding tax refund. The sender is using compromised email to send the phishing email.”
Below is a sample of the Phishing email as posted in the MyCert alert.
Always be on alert and NEVER think that this will never happen to us. Be wise, stay safe.
