JOHOR BAHRU, 19 December 2016 – The Faculty of Education of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) with strong support from its Postgraduate Student Society (PGSSFP) has organised the 3rd International Education Postgraduate seminar (IEPS) 2016.

The Programme General Chairwoman, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Azlina Mohd. Kosnin said that the IEPS 2016 provides excellent opportunities for students to share initial findings and research directions besides helpful critiques that can be helpful towards better practices with other local and international postgraduates researchers.

“This event will not only be helpful in informing research practices but will also be a contributor in developing students as future researchers and academicians,” said Dr. Azlina at the closing ceremony of IEPS 2016 held at V01, Faculty of Bioscience and Medical Engineering (FBME).

The theme of this seminar, ‘Embracing 21st century education’ is most timely because 21st century education learning requires an innovative support system to engage learners through applicable skills and knowledge, appropriate technologies and real world connections to make learning relevant, personalized and engaging.

The IEPS 2016 also featured two keynote speakers namely Dr. Ratu Ilma Indra Putri, Professor of Mathematics Education at Sriwijaya University, Indonesia and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yeo Kee Jiar from UTM.

Thirteen Best Paper Presenters were also rewarded in this conference. All of them received their awards from Assoc. Prof. Dr. Azlina Mohd Kosnin.
