Here’s the story long long time ago during Winter 2002 🙂

Train departs on time at 10:30 am from Lancaster. I got the modern Virgin train. My seat was taken so I just sat on one of the vacant seats. Sepanjang perjalanan pemandangan putih sahaja, not actually snow but my guess was a very thick frost. Stop at a number of stations, the most memorable was Lockerbie. Site of the famous Pan Am crash. I kept dozing off because everything was white. There were some stretch where the train was real slow because of the thick fog.
I had to change train in Edinburgh. Met Pips and Af on the next train. Lalu merentasi Forth Rail Bridge atas Firth of Fray. Pips cerita, bridge tu terlalu panjang, ada orang cat bridge tu sepanjang tahun non-stop untuk elakkan karat. Terlalu panjang, by the time they got to the end of the bridge, dah nak mula baru pulak.
Sepanjang perjalanan melalui tepi laut. Nampak tebing-tebing curam dan ombak menghempas batu. Merentas jambatan lagi di Dundee. Tay Bridge across Firth of Tay. Sampai Dundee on time. The next day we rent a silver Renault Clio 75 pound for 3 days.
And to St. Andrew we go on the 2nd day.

We walked an explore St Andrew some more. The harbour, St. Andrews University (where William met Kate), The Old Course, where British Open is held. I really fell in love with St. Andrews. Coutryside, beaches, historic buildings, university town all in one.
3rd day: Our destination for today: mencari monster Nessie di Loch Ness.

Finally after about 6 hours journey at around 2.45pm, kami sampai di ultimate destination, Drumnadrochit. Loch Ness is the largest and best known of the lochs in the Great Glen that stretches about 30 miles. What’s the story behind the monster? Here’s a short story. The world famous Loch Ness monster, known affectionately as ‘Nessie’ by most people and by the scientific believers as Nessiteras rhombopteryx goes back a long, long way, the first recorded sighting being by no less a person than a holy saint. The saint was St. Columba and the year 565 AD.
Begitulah cerita perjalanan kami ke Scottish Highlands. Perjalanan sejauh 173 miles pergi melalui jalan dalam dan 135 miles melalui motorway A9, sejauh 500 kilometer. Perjalanan yang tidak dapat dilupakan. Merentasi central highland Scotland.
4th day: Stirling & Edinburgh.

5th day pergi flea market. 6th day noon we are off to Dundee train station. Setelah 6 hari dan 5 malam. Merata-rata tempat telah dilawati. Puas hati rasanya kerana berkereta dan berjalan mengikut schedule sendiri.
Train pukul 2:00pm. Akhirnya setelah 10 jam perjalanan, pukul 12:10 tengah malam sampailah kami bertiga di London Euston. Menapak kembali ke hall. My turn pulak menjadi hostess buat Af dan Pips dan sorang lagi kawan Af yang akan sampai esok hari. Plan utama hendak bershopping Winter Sale.
