Biography

Ir. Dr-Ing. Mohd Nazri bin Mohd Nasir is a senior lecturer at the Department of Aeronautics, Automotive and Ocean Engineering, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia since 2006. He was conferred the Doktor-Ingenious from Technische Universität Darmstadt, Germany, in 2017 and Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands, in 2008. Besides, he is a chartered engineer at the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, UK. He has seven years of experience teaching several undergraduate and postgraduate aeronautical engineering courses, namely aircraft design, flight mechanics and aircraft stability and control. Currently, Nazri is head of UTM UAVlab, the meeting point for mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, photographers, software or dashboard developers, and scientists to create solutions that enable people to exploit drone-related technologies in their lives and communities. In addition, he is the project leader of UTM’s security Unmanned Aerial System (UAS), also known as JagaDrone. JagaDrone is the first responder to campus emergencies, which offers a comprehensive campus security solution for aerial surveillance.
