Dr Fauzi Hussin

Fauzi Hussin (Ph.D) – associate professor at the Academy of Islamic Civilization, Faculty of Social Science and Humanities (FSSH), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.

A PhD graduate from Durham University, United Kingdom in 2011 and earned master and bachelor degree from University Of Malaya.

His primary research interest is in Islamic Political Economy, Islamic Economics and Political Economy of Arab Gulf Countries.

Active research in these areas by concentrating into Muslim countries relationships, halal businesses and the certification as well as issues related to Islamic Economics.

Teaching & Learning

About Me

Mohd Fauzi Abu-Hussin is a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Islamic Civilisation, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) Malaysia. He has been a member of the Faculty since 2011. He is a PhD holder from Durham University with specialisation in Political Economy. 

He earned his Master degree in Economics and Bachelor of Syariah Economics from University of Malaya. His main research interests include the political economy of the Arab gulf and Middle East countries’ relation with South East Asian, Islamic Political Economy and Islamic Finance. 

His work has focused primarily on the Arab gulf relation with South East Asian countries, issues of Islamic economics and finance as well as related issues to the Arab Gulf economic development. He has contributed and presented numbers of articles, essays, chapters in book, conferences, and seminars at both local and international levels.
