Have we reached the point yet where hoverboards are just not worth the risk?

On Monday night local time, a Melbourne family lost their home after a hoverboard, which they said had been left charging for only 10 minutes, caused a major fire.

The Metropolitan Fire Brigade, which attended the fire, said in an online statement the device was on charge in a girl’s bedroom when it combusted. Luckily, the family of five got out of the house safely along with their pets.
