LONDON — A British man has apologised after a joke he made about a horse’s penis led to him being arrested by authorities in Kyrgyzstan, the BBC reports.
Michael Mcfeat, who works for Kumtor Gold Company as a welding superintendent according to his Facebook page, apparently got in trouble after sharing an image on Facebook of co-workers queuing for horse meat sausage. He compared the dish to a horse’s penis in the photo’s caption, and was arrested for charges relating to racial hatred.
Mcfeat is currently being held by police and could face up to five years in prison according to news agency AFP. Read more…
