Hydrao Smart Shower may be the first — and it doesn’t use any energy in the process.
The white shower head, which was introduced here at CES, is equipped with built-in LED lights that can tell you, roughly, how much water you’ve used. The Bluetooth LE device connects to an iPhone or iPad app, which lets you set three alert intervals — for example, five gallons, seven gallons and 10 gallons. For each, the Hydrao shower head will light up three different colors that you can see in the center of your show stream. It’s a gentle reminder of how much water you’re using (though I would love to see a way to shut off the water when you exceed the third threshold). Read more…
