President Barack Obama vowed that he would “politicize” the issue of gun violence after a mass shooting at a community college last year.
On Tuesday, he did just that, announcing a series of executive actions aimed at reducing gun violence, an issue that the president has been determined to address throughout his presidency
“We need to feel the fierce urgency of now because people are dying,” Obama said in the White House, invoking the civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr
