Ubering around CES is no gamble

LAS VEGAS — Of all the myriad concerns you have to contend with when you attend CES, the most pressing is, often, “Can I get a taxi?” But for CES 2016 we finally had another option: Uber and Lyft.

The ride-sharing services got the OK to operate in Las Vegas just weeks before the massive consumer electronics show kicked off. Estimates put the number of CES attendees at upwards of 176,000, which might be a reasonable number for the estimated 10,000 Las Vegas taxi drivers to handle if CES weren’t such a sprawling show, spread out over three major convention sites and countless smaller venues
