We finally got the screen adaptation of everyone’s favorite elementary school video game — we just didn’t realize it.
New York Magazine added 8-bit Oregon Trail elements to Leo DiCaprio’s The Revenant, and honestly, the film loses nothing in the process. If anything, adding single pixel bullets and gravestones reading “[Your teacher]’s butt” to the hyper-realistic film might give it the edge it needed to become a huge blockbuster.
If this had been the real film, Leo’s Oscar would be as good as guaranteed.
