While Destiny fans wait for Bungie to figure out what’s next, The Division looks like it could scratch the same “shoot dudes, level up, get better guns to shoot more dudes” itch when it arrives on Mar. 8. You’ll be able to decide for yourself even sooner, as the game’s beta test is now set to launch at the end of this month.
The Xbox One beta kicks off on Jan. 28 while the PC and PlayStation 4 testing begins a day later, on Jan. 29. All players get the same chunk of game, starting off at Manhattan’s Chelsea Pier and venturing into the heart of the city as they take on some early story missions and set up a base of operations.
