Joey Feek, who with her husband made up one half of country duo Joey + Rory, died on Friday after a long battle with cancer. She was 40.
Rory Feek made the announcement on his This Life I Live blog, where he has been regularly updating fans on her battle with cervical cancer, which she was diagnosed with in 2014. Rory Feek announced back in October 2015 that they were ending treatment, and in the months since he has penned many heartfelt letters documenting her final moments — saying goodbye to her stepdaughters and her last kiss to their daughter, Indiana.
