International Women’s Day has taken over Twitter with hashtags that celebrate female strength and empowerment.
Amidst #IWD2016, #SheInspiresMe and marketing gambits like #StrengthHasNoGender, actress Emma Watson, a Goodwill Ambassador for UN Women, upped the ante with a custom #HeForShe emoji.

Watson has previously spoken on behalf of HeForShe, a UN initiative to enlist men in the fight for global gender equality.
