After years of murmurs and rumours, cult Australian electronic band The Avalanches will be playing their first show in 15 years at Byron Bay’s Splendour In The Grass in July.
The shock announcement, which follows insane excitement over the outfit’s Facebook cover photo change yesterday, also comes with dates at the Primevera Sound Festival in Barcelona on Jun. 3 and Field Day in London on Jun. 12.
It’s unfortunately still unknown if there is new music The Avalanches to come. The suggestion has been teased in 2011 and again in 2012. Read more…
