INDIO, California — Ahead of their set at Coachella on Saturday, Run the Jewels told Mashable they had a very special surprise guest who would be joining them onstage: “Jesus.”
“His presence will be felt,” Killer Mike said.
No, Jesus of Nazareth did not make an appearance during their set, but it also wouldn’t have been all that surprising given who did show up.
While democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders, a.k.a. Killer Mike’s best friend, wasn’t physically there, he did introduce the rap duo via video ahead of their 4:55 p.m. set at the main stage.
