Tinder, and a host of similar apps, have changed love and dating as we knew it. To celebrate International Haiku Poetry Day on Apr. 17, Tinder India partnered with poetry writing app HaikuJAM to crowdsource haikus or short poems on the themes of first dates, finding love and making connections.

HaikuJAM is a social network where people can collaborate to write haikus, ancient three-line Japanese poems, using words as well as images.

“At HaikuJAM we believe in bringing people together to connect on an emotional level, with creativity being the context and catalyst,” founder Dhrupad Karwa said. “Through this, we wanted to encourage people around the world to jam about love and the magic of human connections.” Read more…
