LONDON — The Sun and The Times newspapers have come under fire over their coverage of the Hillsborough inquest verdict.
The Sun was criticised for failing to mention the story on its front page; The Times did not carry the story on the first edition, but was later changed to a picture of the victims’ families outside the Warrington court room.
In the aftermath of the 1989 disaster, The Sun carried a front page claiming to reveal “The Truth” about the disaster that left 96 Liverpool football fans dead. Read more…
