Add renegade country singers The Dixie Chicks to the growing list of Lemonade fans.
The twangy trio, who are in the midst an expansive summer reunion tour, performed a cover of Beyonce’s country-inspired tune “Daddy Lessons” at a concert in Manchester, England over the weekend.
During the set, lead vocalist Natalie Maines missed her intro, joking: “I already messed this whole thing up.” But rest assured, Behive, the ladies did the song justice.
In fact, the rendition may have been their own way of standing up for Queen Bey, who’s been the subject of harsh criticism from country music critics since Lemonade’s drop.
