NEW YORK — Netflix is “unleashing the beast” with its first ever competition series: Ultimate Beastmaster.
The Los Gatos-based streaming service announced Monday that it is partnering with producers Sylvester Stallone and Dave Broome (The Biggest Loser) for the 10-episode show.
This marks the first reality/competition series in the streaming service space, though Amazon recently launched Style Code Live — a “QVC for the YouTube generation” available on the Amazon Video store.
Ultimate Beastmaster — no relation to this Beastmaster — will pit 108 competitors from the U.S., Brazil, South Korea, Mexico, Germany and Japan (18 from each country) against one another.
