LONDON — An artist in the UK is showcasing some inventive and strangely beautiful artworks created from hand saws.
Dan Rawlings, who creates the scenes using hand cut metal, is exhibiting his work as part of a show entitled Untranslated at London’s Curious Duke Gallery.
Untranslated, as the name might suggest, focuses on words that don’t have a direct English translation – words such as “Waldeinsamkeit,” which means feeling connected to nature in woodland.
The words he’s selected for his works are designed to emphasise “the importance of dreaming, to enjoy the simpler moments,” Rawlings says. Read more…
