30-year-old feline, Scooter, is the world's oldest living cat

For he’s a jolly good kitty.

The Guinness World Records recently announced Monday that Scooter, a 30-year-old Siamese who lives in Mansfield, Texas, is the oldest living cat. 

Right now, Scooter lives with his owner, Gail, who tells Guinness Records that each morning, Scooter wakes her up at 6:00 a.m. So far, the morning routine has maintained as long as the two have been together. 

Past holders of the title included a 26-year-old cat, named Corduroy, from Oregon. And though Scooter surpasses Corduory, he does not trump Crème Puff from Austin, Texas, a cat lived to 38 years and 3 days, according to Guinness World RecordsRead more…
